Math refresher
Warm up the essentials
Try these questions without looking at the answer key. Show your steps on paper whenever you can.
- Evaluate: −7 + 12
- Add and simplify: 3/4 + 2/3
- What is 2/5 of 30?
- Solve for x: 3x + 5 = 20
- Solve for x: 4(x − 2) = 20
- Find the slope between (2, 3) and (6, 11).
- For y = 2x − 3, find y when x = 4.
- Write the equation of a line with slope −3 and y-intercept 5.
- Simplify: 5a − 2a + 7
- A relation has the points (0, 4), (1, 7), (2, 10). Write its equation.
