COLA is an online Ontario secondary school preparing to offer OSSD courses based on the Ontario curriculum, once Ministry authorization is received.
No. COLA has submitted a Notice of Intention to Operate and is completing the required Ministry registration and inspection process. Courses may be taught during the initial inspection process, but COLA cannot guarantee, grant or record an OSSD credit unless and until written credit-granting authority is received following a successful inspection.
Families may currently submit an expression of interest for COLA's no-fee Founding Student Cohort. Ordinary paid credit-course enrolment will open only after COLA receives written credit-granting authority following a successful inspection.
Ontario students in Grades 9–11, including students attending a school and students learning at home, may express interest in the free Founding Student Cohort being offered during COLA's initial Ministry inspection process. Other learners may inquire about future availability. COLA cannot grant or record an OSSD credit unless and until written authority is received, and it will not offer Grade 12 courses or issue diplomas during this initial phase.
Yes — every planned course is being developed from the relevant Ontario curriculum policy documents.
Students will access organized course modules through Google Classroom, with teacher feedback, weekly milestones, scheduled live support, and remote proctoring for final evaluations.
Yes — planned courses include teacher office hours and direct feedback on assignments.
A computer or tablet, reliable internet, and a webcam and microphone for live sessions and identity verification.

Yes, international students are expected to be welcome once enrolment opens.
Admissions will review submitted transcripts against Ontario curriculum equivalency before confirming course eligibility.
During the initial year, the student’s existing or designated Ontario home school will retain the OSR and remain responsible for the OST and diploma requirements. Once authorized, COLA will send that school the required report cards, final mark, credit, and withdrawal information. COLA will not act as the records-holding or diploma-issuing school during this phase.
The Ontario Secondary School Diploma is the credential Ontario secondary schools award once a student meets Ministry graduation requirements.
Yes. Families may currently submit an expression of interest for COLA's no-fee Founding Student Cohort. Submissions are reviewed by COLA and do not guarantee selection, formal enrolment, or an OSSD credit. COLA is currently completing the Ontario Ministry of Education inspection process and cannot grant or record an OSSD credit unless and until written credit-granting authority is received following a successful inspection.
