Focused courses, careful admissions

COLA's initial program consists of ENL1W and CHV2O. The small Grade 9/10 inspection cohort is filled and being finalized; families in Canada and internationally may request information about future availability.

A public information request does not constitute admission or enrolment. COLA's tuition-free inspection cohort has been selected and is being finalized. No OSSD credit may be guaranteed, granted or recorded before written Ministry authorization.

ENL1W

English, Grade 9, De-streamed. One credit, no prerequisite, September 8, 2026–January 29, 2027.

CHV2O

Civics and Citizenship, Grade 10, Open. One-half credit, no prerequisite, September 8–November 6, 2026.

Future guidance

Families may ask about future course information or guidance without submitting sensitive school records through the public website.

Records requested only through a secure process

Do not send identification, transcripts, report cards, OEN documentation, medical information or other sensitive student records through a public website form. If COLA needs records for a legitimate admissions or course-record purpose, the Principal will provide a secure method.

Admission verification

Admission requires a completed application, identity and contact verification, guardian consent for minors, course choice, technology and accessibility review, and signed enrolment terms.

Prerequisites

ENL1W and CHV2O have no prerequisite. ENL1W diagnostics guide instruction, supports and accommodations; they do not reduce Ontario curriculum expectations.

Technology

Students need a browser-capable computer, reliable internet, a camera and microphone when required, and an individually verified Google account. Classroom codes and passwords are never published.

Confidentiality

Names, birth dates, addresses, countries, diagnoses and medical information remain confidential and are not published.

Student records and reporting

COLA does not automatically hold or establish an original Ontario Student Record merely because a learner takes one supplementary course. For a student concurrently enrolled at another Ontario school, COLA will securely provide the required report card and course-result information to the verified OSR-holding school. For a homeschooled learner with no verified OSR holder, COLA will maintain the required course-level record and establish the applicable Ontario Student Transcript arrangement, or follow other written Ministry direction, before reporting an inspected credit.

COLA will not claim that an OSR or transcript holder exists unless verified. No credit result is reported before written authorization and the required records arrangements are complete.

Canadian Online Learning Academy is completing the required Ministry registration and inspection process and is not currently authorized to grant OSSD credits. The inspection cohort is tuition-free. Submitting a website form does not constitute enrolment or guarantee a credit.
